Even though this song was made four years ago it only now has a deeper meaning to me. I’ve been with my boyfriend for a while and he gave me his bracelet a few months into our relationship and now he’s moving and I won’t be able to see him. This song describes how I feel and I can’t stop crying while listening to it, it gives me words for what I feel. Lauv, you’re amazing thank you for making such great music

It's a year now from this comment but tbh. My ex and I broke up almost 2 years ago, we only dated for 3 mos. But I still missed him. He's the one that got away. I can't get into a relationship where I can't compare the present guy with him. Later on i would realize, he's still better. I can't help it.

I'm really a fan of the way each of his songs is composed. The words, the lyrics, the melody & the beat... all of it complements one another. The story in every song seems like a general thought but at the same time, it's like he's putting into words & into a song those thoughts, feelings & emotion you can't even describe when you're the one in that situation.
