I feel like this is the most realistic music video I’ve ever watched. Idk it just made me feel real emotional. This generation just flicks from one app to another trying to find someone to talk to or something to do and we all know that that ain’t that fun but we all scared of turning off from it all just in case we miss something important. The pressure of it all is just so overwhelming and scary especially if your famous. Lauv you did such a good job at expressing it through the song and the music video I just can’t stop crying smiling 😭😭

So beautiful. I love how at the end he ended up facetiming his parents after ignoring them throughout the video because he realised they are the ones who at the end of the day will always be there for him even when the spotlight won't be on him. This is such a good and relatable song, Lauv. Our generation tends to hide our insecurities by jumping from one app to another and feed our loneliness by looking for validation on social media by trying to post relatable and trendy content. Anyways, congratulations on this song and the album. Absolutely loved it!

Also we don't want to burden them with our feelings but we love them so much, even the thought of them makes us smile in the hard times but expressing problems to them can be hard at times. i think I understand the loneliness he's talking about. this is the 'happy' sadness. you're happy but you're not sure if you're happy on purpose and if the dark part of your heart will ever go away. you're happy but you're always afraid the darkness will return one day, plunging you into something you won't be able to return from. you are always looking for something to blow you away. but nothing excites or surprises you anymore.

I feel so emotional whenever I watch this! This is real. Even if we have everyone around us who loves us; cares for us and appreciates us but still sometimes we just feel so empty. Not because we are not loved; but because honestly we dont love ourselves and just doubt everything and think we dont deserve the things we have. It's just so heartbreaking that we love others but dont love our own selves. And it's not just me or him; its everyone. I just hope we all learn to love ourselves for who we are. I had met Lauv outside the venue of an Ed Sheeran Mumbai concert in the November of 2017 where he performed the opening act for Ed. One of the most humble and down to earth person you'll ever meet...He wasn't so famous back then and people had barely heard of him. But never have I ever imagined that this guy's music would play such an instrumental role in my life. This song will always remain close to my heart though I've lost the pic that I had clicked with him😣 Good lord it all feels like a dream now...

I felt this so much. This is literally me on a daily basis. Ari, whatever you’re going through, allow yourself to feel through it and to process it. Even with all the isolation going on, or without it, It’s okay to feel isolated. But, remember that there’s a whole world of people who love you and are there for you. Remember that your music has helped a lot of people, including myself. I have so much respect for you as an artist, and as a person. This is bad because i check my texts but don't reply often, and then they think as if i'm ignoring and i don't want to talk to them. This ruins the relationship and then i feel like trash. I then fall into a very sad mood, as if it was all my fault. I feel this song all because of that.

The most difficult task is to remain happy, when you're not. I wonder why people treat happiness as a goal. Its not, at least in my eyes. I don't know why but towards the end of the video I just randomly burst into tears. I don't know how Lauv does it, but he somehow manages to make the most inexplicable feelings into beautiful songs that people can relate to, and I admire him for that. Klyde Vhimer that is so right of you that you said that. I like you wherever you are. We should all let each other know that they are NEVER alone, no matter how deep inside ourselves we retreat. Even with closed eyes you will ALWAYS find one of us staring back from the abyss wearing a smile and glad to see you. Even the most BEAUTIFUL, most successful, most content, and most loved people are not immune to deppression and other strong mind illusions. It strikes them , just like us, often with no warning and at the most inopportune times. Living stops. We crawl out of that hole over and over and over. It never seems to get easier. Repetition is how we learn. We fall over and over again. We get up over and over again. But soon we learn to tide a bike. In this process, have we learned to ride a bike, or have we learned how not to fall down. By crawling out of that hole over and over it seems we would learn something about not to get in the hole in the first place. One day maybe we will all learn how not to let depression set in. The world already feels better just thinking about it. What can we do for Lauv? I would help gladly if it would enable all of us to be able to feel his smile and not just see a facade. We have all worn that smiley mask that fools some but others can see right through it. Please let me know, where ever you are, if I can help you help him.
