Megan Seven when making vocals chops it really doesnt matter because you are going for the crappy distorted sound anyways. So with some eqing, distortion, and reverb. You can make any vocal chop sound good even if its recorded off a potato

I have so much respect for artists who make their own backtracks. No disrespect to those who don’t, but a lot of singers today buy one already made and sing, and their sound and market producers do everything else. Which is fine, but the artists who do it independently are presenting their own work, rather than partly theirs. It is also a lot of work. Mixing is harder than it looks. You can’t just record different parts and put them in one track. There is so much more that goes into it. I really appreciate his own work put into this song.

A lot of these violin sounding sounds are usually the persons voice .. like Justin Bieber’s where r u now a few years back .. the beat drop instrumental part is his voice .. vocoders hit different

1 year ago this vid made me smile and comforted me when I'm having a breakdown (since this is one of my fav songs). Looking back last year same day it's worse than a nightmare, thankfully I'm doing great and had my peace of mind already, thanks to this vid of Lauv (it may sound weird but simple things and vids like this can actually help me) it helped me smile on my darkest days. xx

Tbh autotune doesnt necessarily means a bad thing thou thrs alot autotune can do like making the vocal more solid and smooth if this means no skill then all singers would be no skilled cuz they also use things like eq compression reverb to make their voices sound better autotune doesnt make a voice sound better it only makes the tone sound better u could hav a whack ass singer who use autotune that will sound bad no matter how much intensity of autotune is inserted and tbh all singers use autotune. I studied sound engineering and i worked in a studio before so im exposed to this kind of stuff anyways have a gud day and stay safe
