Both had an amazing voice. I totally love them with all my heart. But most of the times it won't ever sound the same way, if we compare live sessions with a post production recording (sad but true) and in the case of them, the post production effects could be "counterproductive" if won't were well used (my humble opinion). Sometimes at the post production, the voices can get attenuated more than needed. Even at live concerts, if the equalization gets furthermore than we truly want as engeriers or musicians, we won't get the feelings as those were expressed.

@erika I listened to any stripped version i could find from Lauv and I think you're right...with these two, their voices have so much raw factors that make this version beautiful... You still can hear lauvs voice being raspy and Troye voice light breath. So sad that the songs overdone 🥺

It was mostly unison and octaves which is actually more impressive how incredibly unified their intonation and tone was. Tuning and balancing unison and octave singing is WAY harder than harmony. They only had harmony in a couple measures and it was so perfectly tasteful. The arrangement was done like a master chef not using unnecessary ingredients and then executing the dish perfectly.

But otherwise they do have some similarities in their voices so I can understand when people can't differentiate them.

@@mhm77887 Im not bragging. Im just trying to instill the sense in you that its accomplishable. Its all about using techniques. You may think all of the school stuff is a lot because you are trying to juggle other things. If you use your time more effectively, you'd be surprised how much you can accomplish. My advice is to spend most of your time on social skills. That comes first. And then spend your time on hw. Remember you just need to get As and Bs. You don't need to get all A's. Good luck

I had some “friends” that for some reason laughed about this song, they thought it was too slow, too repetitive, they didn’t even tried to understand the lyrics, they just hated it for no reason and laughed at me because I recommended it to them, every time they had the chance they were like “hey remember that song you recommender that was like “so tired na na na so tired na na na” but in a way you really wouldn’t want to hear, so I started to hate it too, just to be with them. Now that time has past I left them behind and I am listening to this song again for the first time since that last conversation, and I am loving it again, replying it over and over because I missed it so much. I don’t even know why I write this because nobody cares, but idk I just thought that I should. edit: thank u sm for replying with such sweet things, it really made me feel better.): also, sorry for my poor english.

I love the original so much but god, this stripped version is so beautiful and captures the underlying sadness in the song so well. 😭❤️ Not to mention, they've voices are undeniably amazing and fit with each other's so nicely.
