Captions: "I finished Sad Forever on the flight over and decided to premiere it at the show. I wrote Sad Forever at a time when I was extremely low. I was dealing with depression and OCD but hadn't really recognized or got the help I needed.
I felt out of control...One day I decided that what I was doing wasn't working and I needed more help. Although I was hesitate, I decided to trust my psychiatrist and try a couple of medications that were supposed to help. Weeks later, I realized that medication was far from the enemy that I thought it was. I realized the help that I needed was okay.
Although I, or anyone else, may seem fine at any given moment, mental illness is something that is oftentimes not apparent. It's an ongoing journey with ups and downs. Finding stability is a process that I'm still heavily working on.

Ok Sebastian .... M ditched by my BF recently .. Lost a close family member because of Covid -19 recently... So many crazy and unexpected and unwanted things are going on in my life ... When I needed the moral support most.....My 10 year old relationship just vanished... M blank...feeling nothing at all... Dnt know from where to restart my life again..and how m gonna bear the series of heartbreaking events in my life....

I was supposed to attend this concert last year, unfortunately my father got ill and passed away. Watching this, I just can't help thinking, if I were in that moment, I would've put my phone down and just appreciate this wonderful and brave human singing his emotions away. I would also most probably be bawling my eyes out.

Can’t believe this was 2 years ago. I’m so glad to be a part of this concert. It had two takes and if I remember correctly he actually requested fans to open our phone flashlights to achieve this effect. So I was really into the moment (as I wasn’t focused on recording but on watching) and it was so magical hearing it for the first time. ❤️ This was my very first arena concert ever! No regrets!

This song saved my life one night. I had a bottle of pills by my bedside and I was going out of my mind. I lost my mother 7 months ago when I was 17, and I have always struggled with mental illness. I was home alone and in so much pain, and nobody knew what I was about to do. But my sister sent me this song at random that day, and I decided to listen to it. I have never related to a song more. After that song, I threw the pills away and I texted a suicide hotline. I got my meds fixed, and I am still fighting like hell to escape the black hole of depression. But this song made me realize that life is worth living.

This song saved my life, the same day it came out i was at a really bad season of depression and my life was just going down so quickly. I just felt like i was forgotten and just felt like no one really wanted me here. Some family problems and i lost many friends just at one take felt like my life faded so fast I didn’t even realize it. But this song came out just at a moment where i was gonna do something I’d regret,I’ve worked on myself and I’m better now i got some help. But this song it really saved me at the right timing , just remember never give up you are always loved , stay strong 💙

It's my first time losing someone because of suicide. We weren't even that close. I just heard from a friend of a friend. They asked me to go to her wattpad account after I sent my condolences. Turns out, she was an amazing writer and a lot more. Now that she's no longer in pain, I hope she really has fun up there. That's all.

4 years ago, That evening, I was standing by the pool while my sister played in the water with her best friend. It was her birthday. I was scrolling through KZbin when i came across this song. I work in a mental health institution and this song helped me understand how people who suffer from this stigma of mental health issues feel. I hope that everyone who suffers from any mental health illness has the courage and inspiration to continue working on their recovery. Remember that no one is alone. We are all in this together. I can feel how hard he battled OCD through this song. I'm glad he reached out for some help and was able to get through it. I'm battling with it too and the last strike I had was from a year ago, and it lasted for months. Whenever I feel overwhelmed by the thoughts I've had, I just listen to his songs and I feel better. You're not alone, Ari. And, we can all get through this together.

this song has saved my life multiple times. I have battled with mental health for the past 7 years and only recently got a diagnosis but there are still some underlying conditions. For years I felt alone in my battle and that no one wanted to listen to me because I was constantly being invalidated whenever I tried to reach out for help. Also coming out as trans has had it's own side effects along with a very unhealthy Homelife and unstable relationships around me. I still very much feel alone in this world with the constant battle going on in my head, but this song has always helped ground me since the first day I found it. It reminds me that I'm not alone and none of us are alone in our battles. wether it be mental health, coming out, friendships, home life, anything. We are never alone and reading all these comments have been so heartwarming to see how much this song has also help change and save other peoples life. Lauv has changed so many of us for the better and given many of us a voice when we cant explain the things going on in our heads. So thank you Lauv and I hope every single one of you stays safe and continue to fight!! We can do this!!
